QRD Maestro S3 Touchpad Function Overview & Troubleshooting
The QRD Maestro S3 features a genuine capacitive touchpad, identical in function to the touchpad on the original PS4 DualShock 4 controller.
It supports:
-
Touch gestures and clicks on PS4 (e.g., swiping to select characters in Street Fighter V, zooming in on maps)
-
Simulated mouse control on PC (gesture and click support depending on OS compatibility)
-
Left/right zone detection in supported games for menu navigation or context actions
The touchpad is fully recognized by PS4, and also functions correctly when used on PS5 via the QRD BlackPill converter (as a PS4 controller).
⚠️ Note: Touchpad functionality is only available via USB wired connection or BlackPill converter. Most platforms do not support touchpad features over Bluetooth.
FAQs & Solutions

Possible reasons:
-
Controller not connected via USB in PS4 mode

✅ Solution:

Reconnect using USB-C directly to PS4 for full touchpad support

If using QRD BlackPill on PS5, ensure firmware is updated to v1.05 or later
❓Q2 (EN): Can I use the touchpad as a mouse on PC?
✅ Partially supported. On Windows, the touchpad is often recognized as a mouse-like input device and may support basic swipe/click actions. Compatibility may vary by OS or game.
